For years Google has been working to make things more convenient in the way that you communicate. On my last phone they started helping me filter spam phone calls. It was sort of like a dynamic answering machine. Where my phone would answer, but ask the person who they were and then I could see it on the screen. This must not have worked very well, because almost everyone just hung up. So now they've gone with a different approach that seems much worse. Companies who are going to try to call you have to use Google as a third party clearing service. In other words you know they're going to call and so you and the company somehow schedule an acceptable call window or something with Google. It basically puts Google in the middle of your phone calls. Of course Google goes on about how private it is and how they never see any of your information. But this is all just based on whatever rules they want to make up at the moment. Frankly I think it's better to just let all of the calls come through and you just hang up on people you don't want to talk to. Having Google trying to help you weed out people makes you dependent on Google. and it gives Google a lot more information about your life that they shouldn't have. They don't need to be scheduling every company you ever talk to in their computers. They make it sound like they only have your best interests at heart, but we all know they're going to use it for some sort of advertising ploy, or worse turn it over to the government when they come track you down.
For almost a year the camera focus has been irritating at times. Especially when taking close up pictures. The camera would focus on stuff that was further away because it took up more of the field of view. Then finally this morning the thought occurred, why not click on what you want in focus and see what happens. And here are the results. Notice June 13 is out of focus. By clicking on 13 the focus automatically changes and then take the picture. I'm hopeful that Jesus will figure out some way to get those Google guys into heaven. Here is an example of a fantastic picture ruined by focus problems. Armed with the new knowledge of resetting the focus more fantastic pictures can be produced.
