screen scratch complaints

 

There are numerous complaints on the internet about people scratching the screen without a screen protector. Well kind of like going to bed with people that you have no idea who they are you need to use protection. And since I have no idea how easily the screen will scratch the first thing I do is slap a screen protector on it. So this screen doesn't have any scratches, but getting the right screen protector on it has been a problem. I'm on the third screen protector which is plastic. The glass screen protectors won't completely lay flat on the screen. So it appears that the screen has a tiny flaw at the edges which leaves a small bubble along the edge. It did it on two different glass screen protectors. But the screen doesn't have any scratches on it and it has a decent plastic screen protector on it now with no bubbles.

pixel 2 xl , 3xl, 4xl

 I currently own a pixel 2 XL. At this point it is a 5-year-old design. It still gets pretty good reviews on the internals even for being so old. Apparently some of the progress has kind of slowed down. Processor improvements and even camera improvements are minimal. It took excellent pictures 5 years ago and it still takes excellent pictures today. Having said that the pixel 3 and pixel 4 are starting to come down in price quite a bit. So let's talk about that. The pixel 3 has some improvements but nothing major. The big thing that everybody points out between the pixel 3 and the pixel 2 is the screen. The pixel 2 screen is somewhat faded looking compared to the typical phone. It's still very sharp the colors are still in color and it works just fine, but really it doesn't look like something that used to cost $950. Still that's what they sold it for. pixel 2 XL camera focus

  For almost a year the camera focus has been irritating at times. Especially when taking close up pictures. The camera would focus on stuff that was further away because it took up more of the field of view. Then finally this morning the thought occurred, why not click on what you want in focus and see what happens. And here are the results.   Notice June 13 is out of focus.   By clicking on 13 the focus automatically changes and then take the picture.   I'm hopeful that Jesus will figure out some way to get those Google guys into heaven.    Here is an example of a fantastic picture ruined by focus problems.    Armed with the new knowledge of resetting the focus more fantastic pictures can be produced.
