will this be the final phone ?

 

This most likely will not be the final phone for me. The battery alone will only last three or four years. Of course I may only last three or four years too. But even if they come out with a million mile battery for phones, and make one that somebody can actually put in this phone, I will probably buy another phone. In today's world the memory is a little bit lacking. It's fun to shoot a whole bunch of videos of stuff, and videos take up a bunch of memory, and currently I'm not storing it out in the cloud somewhere and then paying extra when it runs out. Hence SD cards. You can archive SD cards and stick them in your computer when you want to look at them. And then there's a question of technology, will the phone networks eventually move beyond 4G and LTE and simply lock you off the network till you get a newer phone? Probably. Those greedy bastards.

pixel 2 xl , 3xl, 4xl

 I currently own a pixel 2 XL. At this point it is a 5-year-old design. It still gets pretty good reviews on the internals even for being so old. Apparently some of the progress has kind of slowed down. Processor improvements and even camera improvements are minimal. It took excellent pictures 5 years ago and it still takes excellent pictures today. Having said that the pixel 3 and pixel 4 are starting to come down in price quite a bit. So let's talk about that. The pixel 3 has some improvements but nothing major. The big thing that everybody points out between the pixel 3 and the pixel 2 is the screen. The pixel 2 screen is somewhat faded looking compared to the typical phone. It's still very sharp the colors are still in color and it works just fine, but really it doesn't look like something that used to cost $950. Still that's what they sold it for. pixel 2 XL camera focus

  For almost a year the camera focus has been irritating at times. Especially when taking close up pictures. The camera would focus on stuff that was further away because it took up more of the field of view. Then finally this morning the thought occurred, why not click on what you want in focus and see what happens. And here are the results.   Notice June 13 is out of focus.   By clicking on 13 the focus automatically changes and then take the picture.   I'm hopeful that Jesus will figure out some way to get those Google guys into heaven.    Here is an example of a fantastic picture ruined by focus problems.    Armed with the new knowledge of resetting the focus more fantastic pictures can be produced.
