Google's approach to pixel

 Pixel 6 click here

It looks like Google is mimicking Apple and the iPhone. Looking at Google's advertising, it's all about the coolness Factor and what a fad device it is. There's very little information about hard technical data. It's all about the cool people stuff you can do with it. Tons of it focuses on the camera, which the big phone makers have become completely obsessed with. And now Google has created their own processor, which is probably blazingly fast but there's not any real hard data to prove that. And from my current experience Apple still beats everyone at my browser test. Plus Google claims that one of the major reasons for their own processor is to make the phone more secure. And I don't watch the industry real closely, but I haven't heard of phone hacking being a major problem. We're already encrypting stuff a bunch, and people are doing every kind of financial transaction you can think of over their phone. If there were some security holes the bad guys would definitely be reeking havoc. Also, Apple and Android have prided themselves on being fairly hack proof. So creating a brand new never before heard of processor just for that purpose, once again seems like Overkill. What we really want at this point is a quantum processor that will allow 3D holographic interaction with the phone.

I spent 40 years being a computer programmer, and generally want to hear a long list of hard facts and figures about a phone's capabilities and performance. If you really want to impress me Google put a 3.5 millimeter Jack back on the thing. And if you really want to blow my mind you don't need some goofy processor, just add a slot for 1 TB SD card. Do something impressive.

The fact that Google leaves off a 3 and 1/2 mm Jack and no SD card slot seems like they're basically copycating Apple's approach to iPhone. They want you tied into their cloud process so you'll eventually pay money for data that you could just keep on your phone. And the whole idea that you charge another $150 to $200 for more "in phone memory" that costs Google somewhere around $10, just makes the point.

Keep in mind, of all the phones on the market I'm currently using a Pixel.

Oh, speaking of mind blowing upgrades, how about a removable battery. Like the $50 LG phone I had in 2012. Impress me.

spirits

It's becoming evident that the planet is saturated in spirits and, dare I say it, demons. They really are everywhere. If you get an uneasy feeling, you most likely are under attack. They are real, it's not some psychological anomaly or left over distant frustration from your childhood.

pixel 2 xl , 3xl, 4xl

I currently own a pixel 2 XL. At this point it is a 5-year-old design. It still gets pretty good reviews on the internals even for being so old. Apparently some of the progress has kind of slowed down. Processor improvements and even camera improvements are minimal. It took excellent pictures 5 years ago and it still takes excellent pictures today. Having said that the pixel 3 and pixel 4 are starting to come down in price quite a bit. So let's talk about that. The pixel 3 has some improvements but nothing major. The big thing that everybody points out between the pixel 3 and the pixel 2 is the screen. The pixel 2 screen is somewhat faded looking compared to the typical phone. It's still very sharp the colors are still in color and it works just fine, but really it doesn't look like something that used to cost $950. Still that's what they sold it for. So that alone really doesn't make it worth upgrading to pixel 3. The pixel 3 screen is slightly bigger but the pro...

pixel 2 XL camera focus

For almost a year the camera focus has been irritating at times. Especially when taking close up pictures. The camera would focus on stuff that was further away because it took up more of the field of view. Then finally this morning the thought occurred, why not click on what you want in focus and see what happens. And here are the results.   Notice June 13 is out of focus.   By clicking on 13 the focus automatically changes and then take the picture.   I'm hopeful that Jesus will figure out some way to get those Google guys into heaven.    Here is an example of a fantastic picture ruined by focus problems.    Armed with the new knowledge of resetting the focus more fantastic pictures can be produced.
