pixel 2 xl , 3xl, 4xl

 I currently own a pixel 2 XL. At this point it is a 5-year-old design. It still gets pretty good reviews on the internals even for being so old. Apparently some of the progress has kind of slowed down. Processor improvements and even camera improvements are minimal. It took excellent pictures 5 years ago and it still takes excellent pictures today. Having said that the pixel 3 and pixel 4 are starting to come down in price quite a bit. So let's talk about that. The pixel 3 has some improvements but nothing major. The big thing that everybody points out between the pixel 3 and the pixel 2 is the screen. The pixel 2 screen is somewhat faded looking compared to the typical phone. It's still very sharp the colors are still in color and it works just fine, but really it doesn't look like something that used to cost $950. Still that's what they sold it for. pixel 2 XL camera focus

  For almost a year the camera focus has been irritating at times. Especially when taking close up pictures. The camera would focus on stuff that was further away because it took up more of the field of view. Then finally this morning the thought occurred, why not click on what you want in focus and see what happens. And here are the results.   Notice June 13 is out of focus.   By clicking on 13 the focus automatically changes and then take the picture.   I'm hopeful that Jesus will figure out some way to get those Google guys into heaven.    Here is an example of a fantastic picture ruined by focus problems.    Armed with the new knowledge of resetting the focus more fantastic pictures can be produced.

the battery

 Think about how ridiculous the current phone market is. The primary argument they have for getting you to buy a new phone is that your battery is about to go bad. The camera on any decent phone will still be good into the foreseeable future. These phone cameras are better than instamatics, and rival compact cameras. The only reason a phone will generally go bad is if the Network technology changes requiring an upgrade. Most phones would easily last 10 years. The phone makers simply do not want this. Take the TV as an analogous electronic device. Years ago people bought a TV for a minimum of 10 years. Many people kept TVs for 20 to 30 years. Now TVs are almost like a throwaway device. Especially if you live in apartments, every time you move just throw away the TV. But those TVs still work, and so do your phones. We've just gotten used to the idea that buying another phone every two years is ok. They recently have come up with a million mile battery for cars. What this means is tha...
