overpopulation

For many decades now the news and scientists have been complaining that we're overpopulating the planet. In fact in the seventies they were teaching that there really only needed to be a few hundred thousand people on the entire planet carefully segregated into standalone communities that would not infect each other if some sort of dangerous virus got out of control. So the idea was that less than 1 million people would live on the planet and carry forward our species. Well obviously we haven't gone down this road. On the other side of the same coin we keep coming up with ways to keep people alive. In the 1970s people died at about age 70, 50 years later people die at about age 80. It seems kind of strange that we're working so hard to keep people alive when we wish there were fewer of them. The reason for this probably has to do with money. The elderly are a massive Cash cow. And there's a massive industry to support the elderly. And the healthcare industry has provid...

the battery

Think about how ridiculous the current phone market is. The primary argument they have for getting you to buy a new phone is that your battery is about to go bad. The camera on any decent phone will still be good into the foreseeable future. These phone cameras are better than instamatics, and rival compact cameras. The only reason a phone will generally go bad is if the Network technology changes requiring an upgrade. Most phones would easily last 10 years. The phone makers simply do not want this. Take the TV as an analogous electronic device. Years ago people bought a TV for a minimum of 10 years. Many people kept TVs for 20 to 30 years. Now TVs are almost like a throwaway device. Especially if you live in apartments, every time you move just throw away the TV. But those TVs still work, and so do your phones. We've just gotten used to the idea that buying another phone every two years is ok. They recently have come up with a million mile battery for cars. What this means is tha...

drinking alcohol

Drinking alcohol is a great solution for everything except it can cause liver problems and hurt babies before they are born. There are general guidelines on how much alcohol you should consume. As a general rule I would say that the older you are, the less it matters. If you die, who cares.   Here are some things alcohol helps with: If your wife gripes all the time. If you're boss(es) gripe all the time  If your kids are a major headache. If the government is a mess  If taxes are too high  If everything, but your liver, is malfunctioning  If the trade deficit is causing problems  If bills are getting you down  If your eternal salvation is in question  If your mother-in-law gripes all the time  If inflation is eating you alive  And the list goes on and on... List your 10 biggest problems in the comments, then start drinking. Usually you will need to drink "too much", whatever that is. Then 6 months later come back and see how your l...

hydrogenated vegetable oils

This explains why most people don't bother understanding stuff. It is probably simple, but humans make it complicated. The point of hydrogenation was to give oil a longer shelf life. If you want the tedious facts read on. Ooh, partially hydrogenation is bad causing trans fats, that are bad. Boring details: Hydrogenation converts liquid vegetable oils into solid or semi-solid fats, such as those present in margarine . Changing the degree of saturation of the fat changes some important physical properties, such as the melting range, which is why liquid oils become semi-solid. Solid or semi-solid fats are preferred for baking because the way the fat mixes with flour produces a more desirable texture in the baked product. Because partially hydrogenated vegetable oils are cheaper than animal fats, they are available in a wide range of consistencies, and have other desirable characteristics (such as increased oxidative stability and longer shelf life ), they are the predomina...

I will kill you

Genesis 2 15 ] And the LORD God took the man, and put him into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it. [ 16 ] And the LORD God commanded the man, saying, Of every tree of the garden thou mayest freely eat: [ 17 ] But of the tree of the knowledge of good and evil, thou shalt not eat of it: for in the day that thou eatest thereof thou shalt surely die.

Genesis

Genesis has the events that start up this round of testing and preparation before the millennium. God creates the heaven and Earth. But within the second chapter God is threatening to kill people. And in chapter 3 the whole creation goes to shit. It is a strange tale of woe. By chapter 6 God kills every animal and bird on land except for what is floating in a big boat. The whole thing seems very ill conceived. One disaster after another. Where is the happy path to this thing? God continues killing people and we eventually learn, later in the Bible, that everyone that flunks the test gets thrown into an eternal lake of fire. It appears that Satan and his angels are already doomed to eternal damnation before the whole thing starts. There is no direct account of the fall of Satan, but he always does evil stuff. Genesis doesn't directly talk about Satan, man seems so flawed God spends a lot of  time killing people and directing activities. By the time Abraham comes along people a...

Israel in the desert

God gets Israel out of Egypt with a mighty hand. God brings them to Mount Sinai unto Himself. All along the way God proves the children by starving them or making them go without water or feeding them bread with no meat or vegetables. The children complain and act rebellious and later, God kills many of them on several occasions. The Bible reads like it's Moses out in front of 2 million people trudging across a barren landscape. There is no formal hierarchy or organization. There is no training process communicated by God. There is a camp setup commanded by tribe, but God repeatedly expects the people to cheer and rejoice over hardship and suffering. Every time they "murmur" God brings it up throughout the old and new testament. They failed, but God is seeing if we get it, Generally we do not. Also, if the goal was to create an elite army of eternal priests, it would seem reasonable to explain this clearly and organize a boot camp training regime. Instead God repeatedly ...

God

Throughout my life God has been working to bring things about and make things available when needed. A while back my wife and I divorced after 33 years of marriage. Shortly after that she died. Throughout the entire process there were many many things that occurred that just came together. For instance an apartment just happened to be available the same week that it was needed. Then other apartments became available as they were needed. Without looking much. Also my company fired me shortly after her death. But they also insisted that they would pay unemployment benefits. This just happened to coincide with covid-19. So my unemployment benefits were more than normal because of covid. Also medical benefits were made available, which was unexpected. Then my car died and another car was made available at a rock bottom price. It was a great car and did well for over 70,000 miles. There were many other small things that came into play. It's really incredible to see how God does things...

God

Jeremiah 33 [22] As the host of heaven cannot be numbered, neither the sand of the sea measured: so will I multiply the seed of David my servant, and the Levites that minister unto me.  Isaiah 9 [7] Of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end, upon the throne of David, and upon his kingdom, to order it, and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even for ever. The zeal of the LORD of hosts will perform this.  Matthew 22 [28] Therefore in the resurrection whose wife shall she be of the seven? for they all had her. [29] Jesus answered and said unto them, Ye do err, not knowing the scriptures, nor the power of God. [30] For in the resurrection they neither marry, nor are given in marriage, but are as the angels of God in heaven.   There is a fuzzy indication here that new souls will be generated for all of eternity. There won't be sex, so if new souls are added there will be a different mechanism.       ...

cooking tough steak

One way to cook tough steak is using 🍍 pineapple. There is a trick to it. Also the steak isn't going to be like a regular succulent juicy delicious tender steak. The steak I'm talking about starts off at $5 a pound. Those other kinds of steaks start off at 15 to $20 a pound. This process will take a cheap tough steak and turn it into something that even old people can eat. It does NOT taste like pineapple!!! If you want tender pot roast, cook it in a crock pot or in the oven for hours. You can actually cook a regular steak that way too, but it no longer tastes like a steak. It tastes like pot roast.  The pineapple process will still taste somewhat like steak. It will have an unusual texture. I'm in my 60s and I've never had anything like it, after eating steak for over 60 years. So here it is: Cut the steak into 3/16 inch strips, against the grain. Cut up a fresh pineapple into chunks. Put the steak strips into a quart plastic bag. Crush pineapple chunks into the bag...

356 Porsche

In 1977 I was in my VW squareback with a coupler of guys. a half a dozen other guys were in a couple of other cars. One of the cars was a white 356 Porsche. It was the middle of winter and we were headed north over rabbit ears pass. Snow was piled up and snow plows had plowed straight walls of frozen snow on both sides of the road. But it was night time and the snow didn't look like solid ice. We got to horsing around, gunning our cars and spinning on the icy road. The 356 has a rear engine and when the driver started spinning out of control he cranked the steering wheel around the wrong direction and the car spun into the ice wall. I can still see the front fender buckling and the headlight smashing. Fortunately there wasn't any serious damage done to the car and no one was hurt. We were going to steamboat springs for skiing, and that gave us a reminder that bad things can happen. The rest of the ski trip went fine.

shower curtain wall hanging

Shower curtains can make a great wall hanging. They are cheap and many have different styles and sizes. some have pictures or Bible verses. To hang them use cork board push pins, which push into dry wall with some twisting. Hang the top near the ceiling to have a natural straight edge that is easy to follow. Start in the middle and work out. Custom shower curtains are also cheap and can show your own photos or text. Search "custom shower curtain" on Amazon.

Noah

🍸                          Genesis 9  [ 18 ] And the sons of Noah, that went forth of the ark, were Shem, and Ham, and Japheth: and Ham is the father of Canaan. [ 19 ] These are the three sons of Noah: and of them was the whole earth overspread.

who the heck are the Amorites ?

Genesis Previous Chapter Gen.10 [ 1 ] Now these are the generations of the sons of Noah , Shem, Ham , and Japheth: and unto them were sons born after the flood. ... [ 6 ] And the sons of Ham ; Cush, and Mizraim, and Phut, and Canaan . ... [ 15 ] And Canaan begat Sidon his firstborn, and Heth, [ 16 ] And the Jebusite, and the Amorite , and the Girgasite,

iniquity of the Amorites

Genesis Previous Chapter Gen.15 [ 1 ] After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying, Fear not, Abram: I am thy shield, and thy exceeding great reward. ... [ 13 ] And he said unto Abram, Know of a surety that thy seed shall be a stranger in a land that is not theirs, and shall serve them; and they shall afflict them four hundred years; [ 14 ] And also that nation, whom they shall serve, will I judge: and afterward shall they come out with great substance. [ 15 ] And thou shalt go to thy fathers in peace; thou shalt be buried in a good old age. [ 16 ] But in the fourth generation they shall come hither again: for the iniquity of the Amorites is not yet full.   This implies that the iniquity of the Amorites has begun, and will continue 400 years before the elite army of God's priests return from Egypt to slaughter every living thing. Since the old testament is for our examples, we can make a guess at when Christ will return. The recent round ...

Amorite

Exod.3 [ 8 ] And I am come down to deliver them out of the hand of the Egyptians, and to bring them up out of that land unto a good land and a large, unto a land flowing with milk and honey; unto the place of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorite s, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites. [ 17 ] And I have said, I will bring you up out of the affliction of Egypt unto the land of the Canaanites, and the Hittites, and the Amorite s, and the Perizzites, and the Hivites, and the Jebusites, unto a land flowing with milk and honey.    There is a pattern here. God makes it sound like the children of Israel aren't involved in the process. God fails to mention that they are to be a killing machine slaughtering thousands, if not millions, of people. God says that God will do all of this, but never says they will be on an extended vacation in the Caribbean, until the promised land is all clean and shiny. God doesn't mention they are to behave li...

The good news is, it's possible. 0)     3)   While holding this with your left hand finger, press the power and volume down buttons at the same time.   2)   1)

Google's approach to pixel

Pixel 6 click here It looks like Google is mimicking Apple and the iPhone. Looking at Google's advertising, it's all about the coolness Factor and what a fad device it is. There's very little information about hard technical data. It's all about the cool people stuff you can do with it. Tons of it focuses on the camera, which the big phone makers have become completely obsessed with. And now Google has created their own processor, which is probably blazingly fast but there's not any real hard data to prove that. And from my current experience Apple still beats everyone at my browser test. Plus Google claims that one of the major reasons for their own processor is to make the phone more secure. And I don't watch the industry real closely, but I haven't heard of phone hacking being a major problem. We're already encrypting stuff a bunch, and people are doing every kind of financial transaction you can think of over their phone. If there were some secur...
